Rainy Saturday

Yesterday we drove down to Palm Bay, where I grew up, to attend the annual Berger Family Easter Egg hunt. Of course praying that the rain would hold off for the hunt! (It was looking to be a dreary day). This has been going on every year since I was a kid. So we went down to see my family and good friends, and of course my niece, Mattie. She's two and a half and just about the funniest little person there ever was. It was so much fun. We got to dye eggs with the kids. And then we had the Easter Egg hunt. My friend Alex Berger (we grew up together) and I were put in charge of hiding the "Golden Egg" for the kids that are eight and older. The Golden Egg is what all the kids try their hardest to find beacuse it has money in it. We'll...we're pretty sneaky and decided to hide the egg at the bottom of the pool. Hey, don't think that we are cruel. When I was a kid I totally would have dove to the bottom of the pool for some money! Plus, we got permission from their parents. Anyways, it had to be one of the funniest things ever as Spencer and Adam Jarvis jumped into the pool at the same time, fighting for the Golden Egg!! Spencer was victorious! Poor Adam, he dove to the bottom to come up empty handed. All and all we had a great time. Sting'em even came along and swiped a few eggs from the kids. The kids had a blast with him and pretty much wore him out for the rest of the day.

We then drove up to Viera to meet up with Greg's family, who is in town this week for their Spring Break from Ohio. It was Greg's brother, Jeff, his wife Rita, and their two beautiful daughters (our wonderful nieces) Vanessa and Bella. Viera is where the Washington Nationals have Spring training. So we got to go to one of the last Spring training games before the season starts. They played the Braves. Of course we rooted for the Braves. Too bad they lost. Sad day. We still had a great time and it was good to see family. Lucklily for us the rain at least held off until the game was over. Even though the Braves lost it was still a great day. We even got to see a few players after the game as they came out. We got a pic of Chipper Jones. Can't wait for the seaon to start. Go Braves and Tampa Bay Rays!!!

Ha ha, my daughter really is about the funniest little kid ever! We're so glad that you guys got to come down to have the Easter Egg Hunt. It was a super fun day. Sorry about The Braves losing. Should have stayed to look for the $50 adult golden egg! I'm glad you guys had fun with Greg's family.

What a fun time! Doug went to Vero Beach to see the Dodgers play, but they are moving to Arizona after this year.

Nice! I like that the golden egg ended up at the bottom of the pool! I hope it was more than a dollar in that egg!
